2025 Kia EV6 Facelift – Everything To Know Ahead Of Launch

The new electric crossover bears marginal improvements in just about every aspect including design, features and aesthetics

The 2025 Kia EV6 facelift is slated to arrive in North America in the coming months. However, it has already graced European markets which reveals almost everything fresh on the famed EV. Needless to mention, most performance equipment like the battery pack has been borrowed from the new 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5. These two are, essentially, twins from the Korean auto giants. As a result, the bigger battery pack is common to both EVs.

2025 Kia EV6 Facelift – Specs

For the North American market, the 2025 Kia EV6 facelift will offer a 63 kWh and 84 kWh battery pack, up from 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh, respectively. With the larger battery, the EV owners can expect 319 miles (513 km) of maximum range up from 310 miles (15 km) for the current model. Furthermore, the towing capacity is now 2,700 lbs (1,225 kg). It still uses the 800-volt architecture. Note that it will carry the NACS port from the factory.

The lineup includes Light (RWD only), Light Long Range (RWD or e-AWD), Wind (RWD or e-AWD), GT-Line (RWD or e-AWD), and GT (e-AWD) trims. Depending on the variants, the power and torque figures range from 167 hp (122 kW) / 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) to a whopping 641 hp (471 kW) / 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) (in the GT guise with over-boost function).

To improve the ride and handling, the E-GMP architecture gets improved steering response and reinforced chassis. There are even improvements to its Integrated Converter Control Unit (ICCU) with increased output density. Finally, the electric crossover borrows the Virtual Gear Shift feature from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 too. Hence, the two Korean siblings share a lot of components.
