In fact, that is why many legacy and new car marques have announced more affordable models down the line. However, it is understandably difficult to gamble huge investments to create small and cheap EVs if the demand keeps diminishing. Hence, we keep hearing news reports about automakers bailing out on their plans to expand their EV portfolio or delaying them a bit. It will be interesting to see how well the consumers embrace the new Chevrolet Equinox EV LT.
