The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 for the U.S. is built at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) facility in Georgia
Hyundai has announced the details of the U.S.-made Ioniq 5 range. The deliveries will commence by the end of this year. These are eligible for the federal tax credit of $3,750 with purchase and $7,500 with lease. Olabisi Boyle, Senior Vice President at Hyundai Motor North America, said, “The native NACS port and newly extended driving range of the 2025 IONIQ 5 will make the ownership experience and road trips more convenient and enjoyable for our customers.” In addition to the regular model, even the new XRT model’s details are out.

U.S.-Made Hyundai Ioniq 5
The electric crossover boasts a standard NACS port and a standard CCS adapter (complimentary) resulting in it getting access to 36,000 NACS and CCS DC fast chargers across the nation. Using the 350 kW ultra-fast CCS charger, owners can juice up the battery from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes. This is true for both battery sizes – 63 kWh (Standard Range) and 84 kWh (Long Range).
The EPA-estimated numbers range from 245 miles (394 km) for the base SE Standard Range version to 318 miles (512 km) for the SEL trim. This is up from 220 miles (354 km) and 303 miles (488 km) for the 2024 models, respectively. Similarly, the power figures range from 168 hp and 225 hp for RWD models to 320 hp for the AWD variants.
