The Ioniq 9 will be Hyundai’s answer to the mighty popular Kia EV9 and will most likely share the specifications
The Hyundai Ioniq 9 has been officially teased via short videos along with its interior layout. Such short video clips have been surfacing from the Korean auto giant for a while now. However, this time around, we get a tiny glimpse of the production components. In any case, we don’t expect the final design to deviate too much from the SEVEN concept showcased at the LA Auto Show in 2021. Note that the world premiere is slated for the end of November during the upcoming LA Auto Show.

Hyundai Ioniq 9 Interior Teased
The teasers have been dropping on the official Hyundai Worldwide channel on YouTube. When the production-spec model was demonstrated in 2021 at the LA Auto Show, we were able to get a decent idea of what the exterior would look like. It is always intriguing to see how the carmaker decides to go for the interior. For concept cars, the interior is always too ambitious and most of it never makes it to production.
However, it looks like the production-spec iteration of the Hyundai Ioniq 9 will carry forward quite a bit of the cabin layout from the concept. We are able to witness the neatly carved door panels with the grab handle, armrest and door opening lever. The lower section seems to be made up of soft-touch materials with large storage spaces and an elliptical pattern for the front and second-row doors. There is a blurry glimpse of the third row too.
In the press release, Hyundai mentions that the interior is tailored for relaxation. This is aided by flat floor across three rows and massive spaciousness overall in the cabin. Based on the same E-GMP architecture as the Kia EV9, we can expect roomy cabin. In addition to that, the list of the latest tech, convenience, connectivity and safety amenities will also be extensive.
In terms of powertrain alternatives, we will most likely see the Hyundai Ioniq 9 share it with the Kia EV9. This means two battery pack options – 76.1 kWh and 99.8 kWh. The 3-row electric SUV could produce anywhere between 215 hp and 576 hp depending on 2WD or all-wheel-drive configurations. Specific details will surface at the unveiling ceremony later this month.
