The luxury electric SUV will rival the likes of the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS and Range Rover
The new flagship Genesis GV90 EV will make its debut at the upcoming 2025 New York Auto Show. The 3-row electric SUV will bear the tag of being the largest and most luxurious Genesis EV yet. Remember, we witnessed the Neolum concept in March last year. That serves as the basis for the new GV90 EV. With the kind of amenities on display on that concept, we can expect the production version to be mighty impressive in this regard.

New Genesis GV90 EV
Marc Choi, Head of Product Planning at Genesis, remarked, “Genesis doesn’t do pure concept cars without an intention of putting it into production; it’s our job now to put the business case together.” This points to the fact that the final physical EV won’t be all that different from the design which the concept bears. This means that the EV will bear full-width LED strips at the front, a flowing bumper section and a massive Genesis logo on the bonnet.
On the sides, we can expect it to carry the Mercedes Maybach-like disc alloy wheels, coach doors, blingy elements around the windows and side body cladding. At the rear, the EV will most likely carry the dual-strip LED taillamp which encapsulates the entire width of the tailgate with chrome elements on the bumper.
A few glimpses on the inside showcase a futuristic layout with a rectangular steering wheel and a colossal free-standing touchscreen infotainment display on the dashboard. Furthermore, the cabin will contain high-quality materials along with the latest tech and connectivity functions and premium audio system. It remains to be seen how much of this will make it the production-spec model. One can expect top-notch components to pamper the occupants and rivals the luxury car marques.
