The famous models from the American EV startup will soon be accompanied by their smaller and more affordable sibling in the form of R2

The prices for the 2026 Rivian R1T and R1S have been announced. In the first quarter of this year, the American EV giant produced 14,611 vehicles and delivered 8,640 units. These were manufactured at the Normal, Illinois, facility. This was in line with Rivian’s anticipation for the quarter. This demonstrates a strong demand for the electric pickup truck and SUV. Now, they are getting updated as the 2026 model.

2026 Rivian R1T And R1S Prices Are Out

As per InsideEVs, the 2026 Rivian R1T and R1S models will be more expensive by around $1,000. To be specific, the entry-level version with a dual-motor setup and Standard Battery Pack now starts at $76,990, up from $75,990 MSRP for the outgoing model. Furthermore, the R1S Dual Large bears a price tag of $83,900 up from $83,810, while the R1S Dual Max will retail for $90,990, which is $1,090 more than the current model.

Apart from that, the 2026 Rivian R1S Tri Max will cost $106,990, again, $1,090 more than the 2025 trim. On the other hand, the R1T now starts at $70,990, which is $1,090 more than the 2025 avatar. Similarly, the R1T Dual Large will cost $77,990 ($90 more than the existing model) and the R1T Dual Max will start at $84,990, around $1,090 more than the existing model. Finally, the R1T Tri Max is $1,090 more expensive than the 2025 model at $100,990.

Note that these prices are excluding the $1,895 delivery fee, which is $95 more than before. Except for the entry-level version, the dual-motor trims of these EVs can also be had with a $5,000 Performance Upgrade option. This will enhance the power figures even more. Remember, the details of features and specifications of the 2026 Rivian R1T and R1S are yet to be revealed.

I believe this price hike for a new model year EV is warranted. Also, it remains to be seen what are the kind of new-age amenities we will experience in these EVs. I reckon there will be enough new elements to justify this increase in price. In any case, we shall have to wait a bit longer to know the full details of the 2026 models.
