New Rivian R1T And R1S Quad Trims – Performance

The prices of the new Rivian R1T start at $115,990 (R1T Launch Edition starts at $119,990), and that of the R1S start at $121,990 (R1S Launch Edition starts at $125,990). Every 2026 Rivian R1 vehicle will boast a native NACS charging port. Interestingly, all Quad-Motor R1 EVs will offer a complimentary CCS DC adapter for added flexibility. The Gen 2 Quad contains 4 motors, 1 at each wheel. Each motor is individually controlled, giving the vehicle true four-corner torque vectoring for immediate, precise adjustment in traction and balance.

This results in a whopping 1,025 hp and 1,198 lb-ft (1,624 Nm) of maximum power and torque, respectively. This propels the EV from standstill to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds. The quarter-mile sprint is accomplished in 10.5 seconds. The in-house developed and manufactured motors are oil-cooled. This significantly improves thermal performance during high-torque, low-speed driving, such as rock crawling, while also enhancing range efficiency during low-torque, high-speed cruising on highways.

New Rivian R1T And R1S Quad Trims – Range and Features

What’s even more impressive is the EPA-estimated range of 374 miles (602 km) on a single charge, which goes up to 400 miles (644 km) in Conserve Mode. Buyers can choose between 20-inch and 22-inch wheels with options to go for All-Terrain Dark Wheels or the new Dune Satin Graphite All-Terrain wheels with 34-inch all-terrain tires.

The new Quad-Motor R1S and R1T also benefit from a suite of significant upgrades like: Dynamic Glass Roof, Rivian Premium Audio, Darkout Package, Air Compressor, and reinforced underbody shield as standard on all Quad configurations. There are cool things like Launch Mode with Launch Cam, Kick Turn, RAD Tuner too, and Laguna Beach Blue accented brake calipers.

Interior Layout

The new Quad now features an upgraded interior called Ascend. It focuses on careful design and comfort. Seats are quilted, and there is detailed stitching across the cabin. The door panels, center console, and dashboard use soft, high-quality materials. A plaid pattern appears throughout the interior – even on the floor mats – giving it a unified look.

Metal parts inside have a deep bronze finish, which adds warmth. The backs of the front seats are covered in a new soft fabric for extra comfort. Ascend comes in three interior color themes inspired by nature. These include Ocean Coast with Driftwood, Black Mountain with Brown Ash Wood, and Slate Sky with Walnut Wood.
