Updated 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N Launched
Taking feedback from the customers, the Korean auto giant has introduced a slew of updates for the latest version. Note that there are no aesthetic or mechanical customizations in comparison to the outgoing model. However, there are some key software-based improvements which affect the drifting activities. Also, more standard features are available with the latest iteration.
To cater to a wide range of driving scenarios, Hyundai has upgraded the “N Drift Optimizer” system. Now there are 10 stages to choose from. They offer varied levels of drifts. This time around, Hyundai claims that the system is more effective in monitoring and judging the drift conditions. In fact, the last level of drift called Pro, minimizes the impact of Vehicle Dynamic Control to adjust torque allowing the driver to drift more freely.
In addition to that, the “N e-Shift” function is now available with Eco Mode. The EV also gets the “downshift memory” and “downhill assist” functions. Moreover, the “N Launch Control” sound system is always ON even if the “N Active Sound +” is OFF. Lastly, the standard equipment now includes amenities like a walk-away lock function, intelligent headlamps, second-row safety windows, interior V2L and vibration warning on the steering wheel.
In terms of specifications, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N continues to draw power from the latest-gen 84 kWh battery pack with a dual-motor AWD configuration. This results in up to 641 hp (478 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lb-ft) of maximum power and torque with the N Grin Boost. In Korea, the performance EV commences at ₩77,000,000 ($57,678) after the eco-friendly car tax incentive. With time, this new Ioniq 5 N will expand to international markets as well.
