Kia has launched the 2023 version of the Niro EV in two trims – Wind and Wave. Niro is a C-segment compact crossover that has been selling decently since its inception in 2016. Naturally, it was an ICE-powered vehicle back then. Like other major global carmakers, Kia converted it into an EV to capitalize on the evolving trend sooner rather than later. Now, Kia has the EV6 which is based on the dedicated E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) architecture.

2023 Kia Niro EV Wind vs Wave – Specs

The electric crossover comes with a 64.8 kWh Lithium-ion polymer battery supplying energy to the electric motor powering the front wheels. The total power and torque output is 201 hp and 188 lb-ft (255 Nm). What is quite decent is the 253 miles (407 km) EPA-estimated range.
