The adventure-focused iteration of the successful Hyundai Ioniq 5 is slated for U.S. launch this fall
The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT surfaced without camouflage in Korea recently. Interestingly, the 2025 version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is also slated for launch in the U.S. alongside the XRT soon. In this unique avatar, the popular electric crossover will rival the likes of the Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally and Rivian R3X once it is also on sale. Hence, this niche market segment is about to get exciting.

2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 XRT Spotted
I came across this video on the SHORTS CARS channel on YouTube. The entire description and details are in Korean. Still, the visuals are crystal clear. At the front, there is a rugged bumper element with an adventurous pattern on which two red tow hooks are mounted. In addition, the skid plate section looks tough too. On the sides, one can witness sturdy alloy wheels with off-road tires.
The side profile is dominated by the sharp creases, something we are familiar with in the regular model. The flush-fitting door handles and faux roof rails add to the premium quotient. The solid cladding around the wheel arches elevates the imposing road presence. At the rear, the pixel LED taillamp section covers the entire width of the EV. Down below, there is a hardcore skid plate to protect the underbody. I particularly like the colossal roof spoiler along with the shark fin antenna. Finally, the XRT badges all around the body confirm its identity.
Note that the upcoming 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Ioniq 5 XRT will draw power from the fourth-generation 84 kWh battery pack. This will ensure an EPA-estimated range of up to 280 miles (451 km) on a single charge along with a dual-motor setup to generate around 300 hp. It will also sit higher above the ground in comparison to the regular trim. The ground clearance is 7 inches in comparison to 6 inches under normal circumstances.
It will commence production at the new Metaplant America in Georgia with a starting price in the vicinity of $49,000. Another point to mention is the 2025 range of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will come with the NACS charging port. It will allow the EVs to access the Tesla Superchargers. Buyers will benefit from the fact that they can charge their cars at thousands of Tesla charging stations across the nation.
