Hyundai Named Top Mass-Market Brand For Second Time In A Row By J.D. Power

We came across the specifics of this instance courtesy of the official press release from Hyundai. Hyundai’s MyHyundai with Bluelink app was named the top mobile app for electric vehicles in the mass-market category, according to the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. OEM EV App Report. The app earned a score of 820 out of 1,000 – 108 points higher than the average for similar apps.

This marks the second year in a row that Hyundai has led the rankings. The app scored well in three key areas – how easy it is to use, how well the features work, and how well it supports electric vehicle needs. Some of the main features include:

  • Charging through the app and Plug & Charge
  • Tools to manage charging schedules and get alerts
  • Access to the car’s surround-view camera
  • Phone-as-key, allowing the phone to act as the car key
  • Vehicle status and health monitoring

In 2025, Hyundai made more updates to the app. Users can now find charging stations, start charging, and pay – all within the app. Plug & Charge support has also been expanded to work with major networks like Tesla Superchargers, ChargePoint, and EVgo. These changes aim to make driving and managing an electric vehicle more straightforward for Hyundai owners.

Speaking on this occasion, Manish Mehrotra, Vice President of Digital Business Planning and Connected Operations at Hyundai Motor North America, commented, “We’re proud to once again be recognized by J.D. Power as the leading mass-market EV app provider. This achievement highlights how MyHyundai with Bluelink continues to redefine the EV experience, offering seamless and intelligent features that put control, convenience, and charge management right at our customers’ fingertips – wherever they are.
