The U.S.-manufactured Polestar 3 electric SUV deliveries have finally begun in North America. Now, the Geely-owned Swedish premium car giant has become a 3-car brand with the Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4. The Polestar 3 now available in the U.S. and Canada is produced at the South Carolina plant. U.S.-Made Polestar 3 Electric SUV Deliveries Commence
Speaking on this momentous occasion, Anders Gustafsson, Head of Polestar North America, said, “From our retail partners to our employees, I’m extremely proud and excited for the delivery of U.S.-built Polestar 3’s making their way to customers. Polestar 3 plays a pivotal role in our brand’s expanding lineup as an SUV designed for the North American market, proudly assembled in South Carolina, and now being handed over to North American customers.”
Clearly, the brand is betting big on this product for the North American market. In fact, the deliveries will accelerate in the coming weeks, confirms Polestar via the official press release. Another key aspect to remember is that Polestar EVs now have access to 17,800 Tesla Superchargers in North America. That is a huge pull for a whole bunch of potential customers. Consequently, Polestar EV owners can order NACS adapter at their nearest Polestar Service Center. As a matter of fact, the future Polestar cars will come with the NACS port from the factory.
In Q3 2024, the Swedish auto giant delivered a decent 11,900 cars while this number is 32,300 year-to-end September. In comparison, Polestar was able to sell 41,844 units in 2023. Hence, it looks on track to beat that number this year. The addition of the Polestar 3 electric SUV in North America will certainly help.

Learn Electric Cars Says
This marks a new chapter in the history of Polestar and will determine its future. We know that Chinese-made EVs are facing astronomical tariffs in the U.S. and Europe. In such times, it is critical to diversify the manufacturing locations. We know that even Volvo had to shift the production of its EVs to Ghent, Belgium, in order to sell them in the U.S. I am curious to see how well the North Americans accept the U.S.-made Polestar 3 electric SUV.
