The offer is valid even for the buyers opting for the 2024 model year EVs
Good news for Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 customers as they can get access to free home chargers. In order to make the EVs more enticing, the Korean auto giant has been offering this package since last summer. However, it has now been extended to a wide range of models. The free home charger will be available for anyone who buys or leases these cars.

Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6 Customers To Get Free Home Chargers
In the latest announcement, the new models which now qualify for this offer include the 2024 and 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 6 and the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5. Remember, the 2025 Ioniq 5 and 2025 Ioniq 5 N were already eligible. Hence, more buyers will now be drawn to these EVs knowing that they won’t have to spend on home charging equipment.
To be specific, the buyers or lessees of the aforementioned models are eligible for a complimentary ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger or $400 in public charging credits. They can use the latter via the ChargePoint app. Furthermore, the Ioniq 5 N buyers can even avail of an extra $50 if they opt for charging credits.
Also, the customers will not need to bear any costs with the installation process if they get it hardwired into their home electrical system through a Hyundai-approved installer. To claim this offer, the consumers need to opt for it within 60 days of purchasing or leasing the car. Thereafter, they have another 60 days to complete the installation. This is becoming a trend in the EV industry to spur demand. We have seen Ford come up with something similar.

I believe this is a great initiative by the Korean automobile giant to sweeten the entire deal. Fence sitters might only need such a minor nudge to come on board. Also, this is a great way to make the Ioniq 6 more attractive since Hyundai has not sold it in higher numbers despite being a great car in terms of features, performance and efficiency. Let us wait and see how this impacts Hyundai’s sales going forward.
