The upcoming pint-sized Hyundai Insteroid electric SUV has been officially teased. Looking at the images, it becomes evident that it is a distinct concept. The inspiration from the video games is apparent. In fact, Hyundai claims that Insteroid is a ‘dream car’ concept with video game-inspired elements and sporty design. The official unveiling is slated for early next month.

The teaser images highlight a youthful and rugged design theme. Moreover, the modern-day design language from Hyundai is apparent as well. This includes aspects like the signature Pixel LED lighting at the front and rear, air intakes on the wheel arches, 21-inch alloys, rear spoiler, and a diffuser. All these components elevate the stance of the EV. It will be interesting to see how much of this will make it to production.

Hyundai says that the Insteroid is a “thrilling ‘glitch’ in the automotive matrix, seamlessly merging the boundary-pushing aesthetics of video games with real-world engineering to create a vehicle that feels like it’s morphed straight out of a digital speedway.” This clearly means that the Korean car marque has intentionally made it unique in terms of aesthetics.

We know that the existing Hyundai Inster is based on the Casper. It gets a single electric motor, which is good for 95 hp in the base variant and a decent 113 hp in the top trim. This is a confirmation that the EV is meant for urban commuting, keeping cost in mind. We will get to learn about more details in early April 2025, when the EV officially unveils.
