Let us commence with the entry-level avatar. The Taycan 4 gets a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. While the exact specifications will depend on the battery size, we can expect the EV to generate 402 hp with the over-boost function and 429 hp with launch control enabled.
There are 19-inch alloy wheels on offer along with Matrix Design LED headlights, Porsche Traction Management (PTM), and Adaptive Air Suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. The entry-level version will achieve a 0-60 mph (96 kmph) sprint in a mere 4.4 seconds, only 0.1 seconds quicker than the rear-wheel-drive iteration.
On the other hand, if you seek pure performance and budget is no constraint, you will certainly be more inclined towards the Porsche Taycan GTS. Using the over-boost and launch control functions, the total power output stands at a whopping 690 hp. This propels the EV from 0 to 60 mph (96 kmph) in just 3.1 seconds. Due to the increased power, this is a considerable 0.4 seconds quicker than the outgoing model.
Furthermore, it gets 20-inch wheels with an “Electric Sport Sound profile”. There is rear axle steering, torque vectoring, air suspension, leather interior, heated steering wheel, 18-way adjustable Adaptive Sports Seats Plus, extended Race-Tex, and more. To get your hands on this trim, you will need to shell out $147,900. The prices mentioned in this article exclude $1,995 delivery, tax, title, registration, dealer, processing and handling charges.
