This latest spy video emerges from the Healer TV channel on YouTube. The visuals showcase the three-row electric SUV with a prominent shark fin antenna and an active spoiler. The latter hints at the fact that Kia is working hard to maximize its performance despite the colossal dimensions of the EV9. In fact, the Kia EV9 GT will weigh over 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg).
Taking cues from the Kia EV9 GT-Line, we can expect the interior to boast an all-black colour theme with a combination of red elements. That is a typical trait of any performance variant of most vehicles. In the previous sightings, we were able to witness tweaked bumpers and alloy wheels. Hence, it is clear that the aesthetics will distinguish the GT model from the standard version.
Apart from that, the Kia EV9 GT will even bear some mechanical alterations like a reinforced suspension and electronic braking system to enhance dynamic control and stability around the corners. In fact, it was undergoing testing at Germany’s iconic Nürburgring track a few months ago. It could share the powertrain with the EV6 GT. That makes a considerable 576 hp and 738 Nm (545 lb-ft) of maximum power and torque, respectively. The debut is slated for January 2025.
