The 2025 model borrows many elements from the recently updated Hyundai Ioniq 5
The 2025 Kia EV6 for the U.S. market has made its debut at the ongoing LA Auto Show. Interestingly, the electric crossover is incrementally better than the outgoing model in every aspect. This includes in-cabin amenities, new tech, range, performance, battery and specifications. The 2025 EV6 will be assembled at Kia’s Georgia plant alongside the EV9. Furthermore, the sales are set to commence in the first half of 2025.

2025 Kia EV6 – Specs
Upgrading from the existing 58 kWh and 77.4 kWh battery packs, the 2025 Kia EV6 now gets 63 kWh and 84 kWh units. With the latter, owners can expect 319 miles (513 km) of maximum range up from 310 miles (15 km) for the current model. The towing capacity also witnesses a slight increase to 2,700 lbs (1,225 kg). It continues to use the 800-volt DC fast charging architecture. Another key update includes the addition of an NACS port to the left fender for most trims excluding GT.
The 2025 model range consists of Light (RWD only), Light Long Range (RWD or e-AWD), Wind (RWD or e-AWD), GT-Line (RWD or e-AWD), and GT (e-AWD) trims. The power and torque figures range from 167 hp (122 kW) / 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) to a jaw-dropping 641 hp (471 kW) / 568 lb-ft (770 Nm). To improve the ride and handling, the E-GMP architecture gets improved steering response and reinforced chassis. There are even improvements to its Integrated Converter Control Unit (ICCU) with increased output density. Finally, the electric crossover borrows the Virtual Gear Shift feature from the Hyundai Ioniq 5 too.

2025 Kia EV6 – Design and Features
On the outside, there are enough markers to highlight that this is the updated model. It starts with the front fascia which contains a slimmer LED headlamp unit and sharper air intakes. The side profile offers a fresh set of alloy wheels along with minor changes to the cladding. Finally, the tail end reveals new LED taillamp graphics and a redesigned bumper. Apart from that, the overall length is increased by a minute 15 mm (0.6 inches) because of the longer front overhang. It retains all the features from the outgoing model and additionally gets:
