The popular compact SUV is getting electrified with multiple alternatives to suit the needs of potential buyers
The 2026 Jeep Compass has been unveiled with pure electric, plug-in hybrid, as well as mild-hybrid powertrain options. The latest-generation Jeep Compass will first be available in Europe. Thereafter, it will make its way to the international markets. Needless to mention, the mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants will carry an ICE engine. However, we would rather keep our focus on the all-electric version.

2026 Jeep Compass Electric
The latest electric Compass comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration in its most powerful settings. This results in a considerable 375 horsepower. In fact, Stellantis claims that the 65 horsepower rear motor was specifically developed for Jeep to allow the Compass EV to climb 20% slopes even when the front wheels don’t have any traction. In the front-wheel avatar, the electric SUV churns out a healthy 213 horsepower. The ground clearance is a handy 7.9 inches (200 mm).
The EV uses Stellantis’ SLTA Medium platform. This time around, the new Jeep Compass is 179.1 inches long (4,549 mm), which is 6.1 inches (155 mm) more than the outgoing model. Taking care of the power supply is a 74 kWh battery pack. It offers a range of 404 miles (650 km) on a single charge, as per WLTP cycle. Furthermore, users can allow the battery to recharge with a 160 kW DC fast charger or a 22 kW AC charger. With the former, it will take 30 minutes to go from 20% to 80%.
The 2026 Jeep Compass gets a Selec-terrain Traction Control system with all versions as standard. Interestingly, this is true even for the front-wheel drive trims. On the other hand, the AWD avatars get a Hill Descent Control system as standard. The active grille shutter at the front improves aerodynamics and the 7-slot grille is sealed off for maximum efficiency. The flat underbody and slots in the front bumper to direct airflow result in an aerodynamic coefficient of under 0.3.
It uses elegant 20-inch alloy wheels in the higher models. On the inside, the occupants will enjoy their time with the latest tech and convenience amenities. These include a 16-inch central infotainment display, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, physical buttons under the screen for multimedia and climate control, OTA (Over-the-air) updates and more. The European markets will get it in the 4th quarter and other international markets will be catered to thereafter.
