Naturally, the performance electric crossover shares a lot of elements with its sibling, the latest Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
The 2026 Kia EV6 GT has been launched in the Korean market with a slew of minor upgrades. These include aesthetic, interior and performance alterations. We know that the EV6 gets its powertrain from the Ioniq 5. Note that during the ongoing LA Auto Show, the GT-Line iteration of the Kia EV6 was on display. However, this is the first time we are landing our eyes on the flagship GT variant.

2026 Kia EV6 GT – More Performance
In terms of the powertrain options, it gets a bigger 84 kWh battery pack (up from 77.4 kWh) leading to a minor boost in the range figures. It is now good for 221 miles (355 km) on the Korean test cycle. In the regular settings, the vehicle can now make 601 hp (448 kW) and 546 lb-ft (740 Nm) of peak power and torque. Interestingly, these figures surge to 645 hp (481 kW) and 568 lb-ft (770 Nm) using the temporary boost function. This marks an increase of 64 hp (47 kW) and 23 lb-ft (31 Nm) in comparison to its predecessor.
However, what hasn’t changed is the 0-60 mph (96 kmph) acceleration time of 3.5 seconds (same as the outgoing model). Also worth mentioning, this is 0.1 seconds slower than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. Another key addition to this new car is the addition of the Virtual Gear Shift system. It simulates gear shifts like on an ICE car with sound effects and torque modulation. Also, there is the electronically controlled suspension and electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD). The aim is to introduce some character and fun to the EV.
