Few online reports suggest that we will get the Staria electric by next year. Also worth mentioning, Hyundai revealed the new ST1 electric business van in March this year. It was Hyundai’s first commercial EV. As a consequence, it is available in refrigerated vans and basic chassis cab options. The production is slated to commence at the Ulsan plant in South Korea.

As per a report by Korean media outlet Newsis, Hyundai will convert a production line (Line 1) at the Ulsan plant for Staria Electric in the coming weeks. This expansion is part of the company’s broader strategy to launch 21 EVs by 2030. Furthermore, Hyundai believes this will result in sales of over 2 million units.

According to The Korean Economic Daily, Hyundai will expand the production of the Staria EV into Europe in the first half of 2026. In fact, the European-built electric minivan will be on sale in Korean and other international markets including Australia and Thailand. The aim is to dispatch 15,000 to 20,000 units of the EV annually. Even though the details are scarce, it will most likely use Hyundai’s 4th-generation 84 kWh battery. More details will emerge closer to the launch.
