Porsche Cayenne Electric Interior Spied, Gets 4 Screens

The performance electric SUV will bear a modern cabin full of screens to cater to new-age buyers

The Porsche Cayenne Electric was recently spied inside and out. The potent EV from the German car marque is slated for debut by the end of this year. Hence, we can expect it to grace the streets next year. Note that it is touted to be the elder sibling of the already popular Macan Electric. While it might borrow a few design elements and features from Macan, the quad-display layout for the interior is certainly unique.

These images have surfaced online courtesy of CarScoops. While the exterior is heavily camouflaged, a clear glimpse into the cabin highlights some modern components. For instance, there are 4 screens encompassing the entire dashboard. This makes it evident that the German performance car marque wants to adopt the latest trend of minimizing the use of physical buttons.

In all honesty, we have seen many new-age EVs with triple screens on the dashboard, and the fourth screen below the center console might actually be dedicated to HVAC controls. Thankfully, there are some physical toggle buttons for ease of usage while driving. Yet another iconic component on the dashboard is the Porsche Sport Chrono clock. Apart from that, there is a dashboard-mounted toggle gear-shifter. Finally, the chunky steering wheel reminds us of the legendary Porsche models from the past.

Based on the PPE platform from VW Group, the Porsche Cayenne EV could borrow the Macan’s specifications too. However, it could start variants with at least 402 hp, similar to the Macan 4. Nevertheless, I am most excited about the top end, which might feature the colossal 872 hp and 939 hp of peak power from the Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S, respectively. In any case, we can definitely expect the 509 hp and 630 hp trims with the dual-motor setup.
