2026 BMW iX Facelift – Specs

Arguably the biggest change to the new BMW iX is the addition of a new base model called the xDrive45. Additionally, the older xDrive50 and M60 have now been replaced with xDrive60 and M70, respectively. The addition of the new base trim reduces the price of the lineup by $13,000. This entry-level model is good for 402 hp of power and 312 miles (502 km) km of range as per EPA. Moreover, it achieves a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) acceleration time of just 4.9 seconds.

The other two updated models boast increased power and range. The xDrive60 produces 536 hp of maximum power up from 516 hp with the xDrive50, while the M70 belts out 650 hp up from 610 hp with the M60. Correspondingly, the acceleration from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) takes 4.4 seconds and 3.6 seconds, respectively. Finally, the top speeds are 124 mph (200 km/h) and 155 mph (250 km/h), respectively.

With the updated models, the range figures have also witnessed a decent improvement. The xDrive60 is now good for 340 miles (547 km) of range, which is 30 miles (48 km) more than the outgoing model. On the other hand, the performance-focused M70 enables 302 miles (486 km) of range, up from 285 miles (458 km) with the M60. Hence, the range and performance have seen a decent bump.

A more efficient heat pump ensures that the waste heat from the drivetrain, battery, and surrounding air can be used to warm the cabin. Furthermore, it can be used to warm the battery of the electric SUV, in turn, extending the range. The new Climate Comfort Package utilizes this for cold climate scenarios. It includes heated seats (front and rear), a heated steering wheel, a heated armrest, 4-zone automatic climate control, etc. Also, there are some minor updates to the exterior as well.
