The electric SUV is slated to debut later this year, while the ICE variant continues to be on offer
The 2026 Porsche Cayenne EV was recently spotted as a test mule in two distinct avatars. Note that this instance surfaced from somewhere in Sweden. Remember, the Cayenne EV will be the elder sibling to the existing Macan Electric. There are some interesting observations from these spy images which inform us about the designs of the electric SUVs.

We are able to come across these images courtesy of CarScoops. Arguably, the most pertinent elements from these images are the presence of what seem like the active aero flaps on the lower bumper. These are similar to the ones we see on the new 911 GTS T-Hybrid. The appearance of a splitter further informs its performance credentials.
On the other hand, the next vehicle in the images possesses a less sporty exterior. This includes an understated bumper with horizontal bars and sensors for ADAS. Also, the approach angle seems to be better in this version, which could encourage owners to take it off-tarmac on some occasions. Even though the headlamps are not totally visible, we can expect something similar to the Macan Electric.
Again, the details pertaining to the specifications are scarce. Nevertheless, we can expect it to borrow powertrains from the other models on sale. Hence, the lower Cayenne EV can have similar battery and performance figures as the mid- or high Macan Electric variants. This points to a dual-motor setup good for 509 hp and 630 hp.
However, things could get really serious with the higher trims. I would imagine the German car marque will equip the top Cayenne EV trims with the same configuration as the Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. This translates to 872 hp and 939 hp of maximum power, respectively. I am certain that we will get to know more details with the passage of time.
