Unveiled at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, Jeep Avenger has made its official debut becoming the first-ever fully electric vehicle from the American auto giant.

While everyone is talking about the powertrain and design of the recently debuted Jeep Avenger, there are 5 unique features that are hidden in plain sight. Note that Jeep is now under the purview of the Stellantis Group which is a conglomerate of myriad car marques. Jeep has already launched plug-in hybrid models but the Avenger compact EV will be the first fully-electric model on sale in Europe by the end of this year. Note that the 1st edition model has sold 8,000 units already.

Jeep Avenger – Specs

Based on the e-CMP2 architecture, the electric SUV will have 4 trim levels – First Edition, Longitude, Altitude and Summit. It will be powered by a 54 kWh battery pack (usable 50 kWh) with a single-motor FWD configuration, to begin with. The AWD version will be introduced subsequently.

It boasts a healthy output of 154 hp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque with a claimed WLTP range of 400 km. Interestingly, even the FWD version will offer drive modes like Normal, Eco, Sport, Mud and Sand. Jeep claims that the electric SUV could go up to 29 km with just 3 mins of 100 kW DC fast charging. It will take 24 mins to juice up the battery from 20-80%.

5 Unique Features of Jeep Avenger

  • Dual Front Grilles – While EVs typically don’t have any grilles, the Jeep Avenger has two! There is an iconic seven-slot grille flanked by LED headlamps and there is another emblem hidden inside the grille essentially making it a dual-grille arrangement.
  • A Hidden Handy Compass – Then there is also a concealed compass at the place where the radar sensor is positioned. In fact, it points to the city of Turin, Italy, where the EV is designed.
  • Child Silhouette on Windshield – For the auto aficionados with a keen eye, there is a miniature graphic of a child with a telescope looking at the night sky on the edge of the windshield. On the opposite corner of the windshield, there are stars that the child is gazing at.
  • Mountain Silhouette on Rear Windshield – Then there is a silhouette of the mountains on the rear windshield, perhaps indicating the adventurous nature of the application of a Jeep SUV.
  • Ladybug on Roof – Finally, there is also a ladybug moniker planted on the roof moulding of the Avenger electric SUV. These are nature-inspired design elements you would find on the EV.

Dimensions and Price

Being the smallest Jeep SUV, the Avenger measures 4,084 mm in length, 1,776 mm in width, 1,528 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. The boot capacity is a decent 341 litres with all seats up and a colossal 1,053 litre with rear seats folded. The prices start at £36,500 ($45,670). With the government incentives, this number could drop below €30,000 in the European markets.
