The special edition model doesn’t just bear aesthetic modifications, but even some performance enhancements
Kia just showcased its EV9 Nightfall Edition at the ongoing 2025 New York International Auto Show. Note that this package is already available with the Seltos, Sportage and Telluride. As is the case with most special edition trims, there are exterior and interior tweaks to the design. However, what’s different is the fact that it actually receives a performance boost. Let’s get into the specifics.

Kia EV9 Nightfall Edition
This distinct iteration is available in the dual-motor Land AWD avatar in 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. On the outside, the main attractions include gloss black elements with a dark Kia emblem, 20-inch all-season tires, gloss black front grille accents, gloss black skid plates, roof rails, outside mirrors and lower door side sill accents. With this Nightfall Edition, there is also a new color on offer – Roadrider Brown.
Similarly, the Kia EV9 Nightfall Edition takes a departure from the grey interior theme. Instead, buyers will witness a sporty all-black color scheme with genuine seat stitching and a black headliner. That elevates the entire appearance of the interior. Furthermore, the electric SUV is available with a 60/40 split-fold second row bench that increases seating capacity to seven.
Despite the exterior and interior alterations, the performance boost is the most impressive aspect of this special edition trim. While the power remains the same at 379 hp, the torque is now up from 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) to 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) with the EV9 GT-Line-like Boost function. Remember, the EV9 also benefits from the NACS charging support, allowing it to access the Tesla Supercharger network.
